Hike Norfolk |
- 9th May 2009: Loddon |
11 new walkers joined 6 regulars on a leisurely 5 mile stroll along the River Chet to Hardley Flood, proving how popular the walking group is becoming. Kit-Kat Chunkys were deployed as a suitable ice-breaker and the walk ended up in the White Horse Chedgrave for post-walk drinks. View Photographs |

- 10th May 2009: Caston |
A perfect day for walking: warm, dry and sunny. Starting at Caston and a brush through stinging nettles near the beginning, 23 of us meandered along dirt tracks and through shaded woodland which included Breckles Heath, the Great Eastern Pingo Trail, Thompson Common and Thompson Water. A couple of wrong turns were made which added a bit extra to the walk but everyone survived to tell the tale. View Photographs |

- 22nd February 2009: Ixworth |
Many new members enjoyed this figure of eight walk around Ixworth and Pakenham, encountering some of Suffolk's unique wildlife. View Photographs |

- 8th March 2009: Swannington |
Despite the short notice, 9 people and a very active little dog came to walk around near Swannington. Lots of new members enjoyed a relatively short walk in the sunshine and a pub visit to Reepham. Highlights included getting everyone directed to the start of the walk (with limited phone signal), a helpful dog guiding the way and a surprisingly muddy ending! View Photographs |

- 14th March 2009: Castle Acre |
An excellent turnout for this twelve mile walk, which took us along a winding and picturesque section of the Nar Valley Way. View Photograph |
- 13th April 2009: Rockland St Mary |
With only 3 days notice, 5 people came along for this walk which was well worth the effort. The book described "climax views of Rockland Broad" and we weren't disappointed. In fact there were a few unexpected views thanks to some 'Norfolk hills'. A walk definitely worth repeating. View Photographs |

- 19th April 2009: Ludham and Hickling Broad |
Twenty people enjoyed a sunny walk around Hickling Broad and Ludham. Fortunately no snakes were spotted near the broads, although a marsh harrier did make an appearance. Ended at a relaxing pub stop at the King's Arms in Ludham. View Photographs |
