Thorpe St Andrew and Thorpe Hamlet, following parts of the rivers Wensum and Yare, with the Rosary Cemetery, Telegraph Plantation, Lion Wood and hilly, woodland paths being some of the attractions along the way.
We will start and finish at Britannia Road near the barracks, but more details later after I've done the recce, but it looks like a pleasant walk and is also nice and close for some of you.
Any good pub recommendations welcome for the end.

Hi, I will be checking out the route on Monday and posting details after that. I will lead this walk if at least 2 others want to come and post by Wed 12pm their intentions.

I did the recce for the walk today and really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the woodland sections, where I could hardly believe I was in Norwich, as they were much bigger than I'd expected, and the overgrown, atmospheric Rosary Cemetery, a hidden gem.
So anyway, even if no one wants to come on Wednesday I got something positive from a very enjoyable walk today. If anyone does want to come then I'll see you at the free car park on Britannia Road, with its great views over the city, at 7pm.

Hi Jon,

As much as i can't be completely reliable to make it, i would very much like to. If the people of Norfolk refrain from being too naughty I hope to join you I may even bump into some of my old 'customers' on this one hehe.

All being well, I'd like to come on your walk Jon as it's very close to my place.

It will be interesting to see how it compares to my Yare Valley Walk which covers a lot of the places you mention.

I'm guessing the meeting point is in the parking lot opposite the old prison at the top of Mousehold Heath, but if you're not there I'll ring you.

See you later,
Paula

Hey, it was a complete last minute decision to come along tonight and really glad that i did. The walk went through some really interesting parts of the city that I'd never visited before so a compete adventure! Great idea to go for a drink afterwards.

Yes, it was a nice evening and the walk was even better in the evening than in the daytime. Thanks for coming everyone.

Me too!

Good walk, thanks Jonny. Sorry I couldn't stop for a drink afterwards but no doubt you all enjoyed the Ketts Tavern.
